Hamilton glanced at the clock on his room's wall. Only three hours left! Jake would be back in three hours! He was getting really excited now, waiting for her return.
After three exciting, romantic (but not sexual), and blissful days in NYC with Jake, Hamilton had had to come back home to watch the house because his parents were on vacation until the beginning of the Fall session.
The goodbyes had been nearly tearful on Jake's part, but they knew they were going to see each other in a matter of two weeks, and that, paired with about three hundred e-mails and a phone bill the size of Texas, had kept them both sane.
Hamilton had never, ever dreamed of being this in love. He still wasn't entirely sure what drew him to her in the first place, but he was so glad that whatever it was, it had. Hell, at this point, even if Jake was a guy he would still love her...him...whatever. And that fact didn't scare him so much anymore. Not that he thought he was gay, he wasn't! Just that he loved Jake so much that it didn't matter.
Sighing happily, Hamilton put the incredibly boring book he had been reading back on the shelf in his room and sprinted down the stairs. He grabbed an apple from the kitchen and then took off towards the dorms, where he was planning on meeting Jake in her room.
Halfway there, who should he run into but Ryder, back from wherever it was jerks like himself liked to hang out when school wasn't in. Hamilton tried to avoid him, but of course, Ryder wasn't about to let him get away with that.
"So," Ryder said in that annoying accent of his, "going to see your girlfriend?" Hamilton almost laughed at the fact that Ryder had no idea how close to the truth he was.
"Ryder, I dont feel like dealing with you now. So please get out of my way. Unless, you want another right hook to the jaw....that worked pretty well last time." Hamilton narrowed his eyes and pushed by Ryder.
Ryder threw his hands up in mock defeat. "Hey, don't let me stand in the way of true love. I could never live with myself if I kept you from your dear Jake." Ryder snorted, and continued walking down the path, whistling something off-tune.
Hamilton shook his head as he watched Ryder depart, but even a jerk like Ryder couldn't ruin the day for Hamilton.
Smiling at the thought of Jake, Hamilton continued up the stairs to the boy's dorm. The dorm was starting to fill up again, with a few early arrivals. Hamilton said hi to a couple of familiar faces, and then continued up the stairs to Jake's level.
As he reached her still-locked door, he slipped in the master key and quietly locked the door behind him. He proceeded to lay on the bed and think wonderful thoughts about Jake.

As Jake reached the stairs of the Boy's dorm, she looked around at all the familiar faces, waving to a few other students. Boys, of course. She sighed, wishing she could rip off her hot clothes and go around in a tank top, but at the same time, glad that she had such a great reason NOT to do that.
The thought of Hamilton made all this fuss completely worth while.
Jake jogged up the steps to her room, and took her key chain out. Locating the key that she hadn't used in nearly a month, she put it in the lock and entered the room, only to find Hamilton asleep on her bed.
She nearly burst out laughing. After all his enthusiasm on the phone last night, the first time she sees him in forever is asleep on her bed...and snoring.
Jake stifled her giggles and put her bags down on the floor next to her desk. She placed her laptop on her desk, and closed and locked the door behind her. Sneaking over to the bed, she settled next to Hamilton.
Jake leaned on her elbow next to his prostrate form, and watched his chest rise and fall with every breath.
She watched as his eyelids fluttered slightly, and smiled when his sleepy eyes focused on her and he pulled himself up to face her.
"Hey, boy." Jake said, her finger tracing the bridge of his nose, to his lips, then resting on his lower lip. He kissed her finger, then pulled her toward him, and their lips met in a light, tender, sensual kiss.
"Hi, boy." He replied, as he pulled her down onto the bed with him. Her giggles were quickly silenced with Hamilton's lips...

They had survived the last weeks of Summer apart, and now they faced the Fall, together. But together, they knew they could handle anything Rawley, or life, had to throw at them!

The End
